I've been looking over the rules and have realised that any character who is put into Torpor through wounds is going to become unplayable. As such, I am implementing the following House Rule with immediate effect:

In the event of being put into Torpor, the character may attempt to come around. This is not an easy feat however. Following receipt of sufficient wounds, the player may roll the Character's Humanity Rating diff 8. Each success on this roll allows a point of vitae to be spent ...

Earning and Spending Experience

Earning

Experience is awarded for each night that passes In Game, at a rate of 2 Experience Points Per In Game Evening. Please note, you can only receive Experience if your character has actively participated in the game evening. If you don't log on and post, you don't earn. Out of Character posts do not count towards Experience Point awards. On occasion, some Experience Points may be awarded for outstanding roleplaying, or reaching a plot milestone.

Clan Organisation and Knowledge...

This hasn't really been an issue but I would like to make a remark about it to prevent it coming up.

Certain Clans have organisation that should not be known by anyone from outside. Some specific examples of this are:

Nosferatu - ShreckNET

Only the Nosferatu would know of ShreckNET.

Tremere - Heirarchy

While players may know of the organisation of the Tremere, those not of the clan would now know about Apprentices, Regents, Lords, Pontifices.

Ventrue - Dignitas and ...

Storyteller Note: Due to several complications that have occurred, the Combat Sequence has been modified again. Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience. I appreciate your patience whilst I attempt to streamline everything to ensure smooth running.

Combat

During Combat Scenes, please post once in the following manner:

No state permit is required to purchase a rifle or shotgun.

It is lawful for citizens of the State to purchase rifles and shotguns and ammunition in states contiguous to this State.

A license or permit must be obtained to purchase, sell, give away, transfer, inherit, or receive a handgun by applying to the county sheriff in which the purchase is to be made or where the receiver resides.

A purchase permit is good for five years from the date of issue. Antique firearms ...

In order to maintain some sembelance of order on the forum, it would be appreacited if you could adopt the following posting format:

Descriptive Actions

When posting things like entering, or leaving a location, or even some gesture that your character is performing, please enclose things in [square brackets] or in plain text. Examples:

[Aaron enters the room. He walks with purpose to his throne, taking his seat and looking over everyone gathered]

ST Note: Herein are the revised rules for learning Necromancy and Thaumaturgy paths and rituals. Some aspects of them stand to reason for other disciplines too, and may be adopted in a more global sense. What is written here supercedes anything written previously. The modifications are, in my opinion, minor and fair.

Learning Paths and Rituals

This is a process to test even the most dilligent and dedicated Necromancer or Thaumaturge, and is not something that should be taken lightly. In order ...

Rolling Dice

Players are responsible for rolling their own dice. In order to roll dice, you need to "Reply" to a topic. A screenshot of the "Reply" screen is below:

The arrow on the image points to where the Dice Roller can be activated. There are two boxes. The first is a "drop-down" box, where you need to select the type of dice to be rolled (Vampire the Masquerade uses d10). Once you have selected the type of dice to be rolled, you need to input ...

There are two methods that can be applied using Influence. They differ slightly in how they work mechanically. The first use is referred to as Direct, the second is referred to as Indirect, and they work in the following manner:

Direct - Roll = Manipulation+Influence - diff 6

As it's name suggests, Direct use of Influence involves a character becoming personally involved with the situation by making a telephone call, writing a letter/email, sending a text message, or any other ...

Status

Status is quite an important part of kindred society, allowing you to manipulate certain situations that may arise in the court. More on that in a moment, first you need to know how you can get Status.

Status can be gained, or lost, in a number of ways, the most common being:

The Prince may give your character an appointment, or revoke a previously awarded appointment, as a Court Officer (Seneschal, Keeper of the Elysium, Primogen etc.)

The Prince can award, or strip, ...

Hunting

When you wish to hunt, you should make a post in the area that you are hunting in, and roll your character's Perception+Herd scores. A Storyteller will then attend to your scene. Simply saying that you are feeding from your Herd is not enough, you must actively go looking, which means that there is always the risk that you will get caught. Hopefully, this will provide a more individual experience, allowing your character to become more developed. Each district has a Hunting Difficulty, ...
